Junior Christmas Plays 2025
Thanks to the Junior Department, the Christmas play season at Trevor-Roberts is in full swing. The stage is set and costumes donned for a week of shows, the result of weeks of hard work and rehearsal from the children.
Senior Mindfulness Club
Mindfulness Club is one of the many clubs that students have enjoyed so far this term at Trevor-Roberts. The Senior Mindfulness club is a fantastic way for chidlren to start what can be a very busy day of lessons, sports and extra-curricular activities.
Canterbury 2025 with Quartus
Quartus had a fantastic time on their trip to Canterbury. After exploring the city they made their way to the Cathedral. Here, they dressed up and put their historical knowledge to the test!
Career Talks with Primus & Secundus
Primus and Secundus have enjoyed a recent series of career talks in school. Parents across all forms have very generously given their time to talk to the children about their field of work, whether it be medicine, architecture or even wine tasting!
Primus Theatre Trip
Primus had a trip to County Hall on the Southbank to see Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution. They were mightily impressed with the iconic venue and enjoyed noticing the differences between the theatrical adaptation and the short story they had previously studied.
Music Department visit to Dots Music
Last week, the Trevor-Roberts Music Department visited Dots Music Shop in Camden. Recently under new ownership, Dots has served the community for almost fourty years, repairing instruments and offering musical advice, as well as selling a wide range of instruments, sheet music and accessories.
Autumn Sports Fixtures
The Trevor-Roberts sporting calendar has been jam-packed with activities ranging from football to cross country. TR were well represented at the ISA Swimming Tournament, with Anna is Secundus coming 1st place in backstroke and 2nd in freestyle.
Walton Firs 2025
During the annual trip to Walton Firs, Quartus and Tertius spent two days in the great outdoors! At the fantastic activity centre in the middle of a forest, they participated in a range of activities such as caving, climbing, and exploring a maze.
Quintus Science Experiment
Quintus started the new academic year with an exhilirating science lesson. After lessons focusing on the scientific method, they had the chance to create their own balloon cars and put their methods to the test in the playground!
Art Exhibition
Last week, the annual Summer Art Exhibition was held, showcasing artwork from all classes, from Octavus to Primus. The event was a celebration of the creativity and effort shown by the pupils throughout the year.
Concert at Wilton’s Music Hall
Today, Trevor-Roberts School took over Wilton's Music Hall: the oldest grand music hall in the world. For our spring ensembles concert, groups throughout the school, from jazz band to rock band, senior choir to junior choir and even some alumni, took to the stage for a vibrant evening of music.
Octavus: The Great Butterfly Escape
In today's science lesson, Octavus students released butterflies they had been nurturing throughout the term. They had been learning about the life cycles of butterflies, and had the exciting chance observe them from larvae all the way up to beautiful butterflies.
Plants Experiment Quintus
Today, Quintus spent thier science lesson in the sunny junior playground. They've been learning about plants and photosynthesis, and undertook a fun experiment involving their own plants: half grown in the dark, the other half
Secundus Yorkshire Trip
Secundus recently embarked on a fieldwork trip to Yorkshire where they spent the weekend collecting data for their Common Entrance Geography projects. The children looked at how a river changes downstream and how longshore drift can shape the coastline.
VE Day 80th Anniversery
Today, students at Trevor-Roberts celebrated the 80th anniversery of VE Day. At the end of the school day, students took their seats in the sunny playground for some celebratory drinks, scones and music -- including a whole school rendition of We'll Meet Again.
Barcelona Choir Tour 2025
At the start of the Easter Holidays, the Trevor-Roberts senior and chamber choirs returned from a musical tour of Barcelona. The children performed concerts in prestigious venues such as Montserrat Monastery, Barcelona Cathedral and La Sagrada Familia.
Art Workshop with Sextus
The Art Department were delighted to welcome Sara Fanelli for a fun and inspiring workshop with Sextus. She shared some of her artwork and explored collage techniques with the children, tying in with their bird-themed art project.
Secundus Trip to National Gallery
Secundus visited the National Gallery to partake in a Talking Paintings Tour. They got to see lots of paintints, varying from depicitions of religious texts and impressionist works. The tour took them through lots of detail about the history of the works and how they were made.
London Mini Marathon
On Saturday the 26th April, a handful of children took part in the TCS London Mini Marathon. The pupils could choose to run, jog or walk around a one mile route in the heart of the capital and cross the line at the same finish line as the TCS London marathon.
World Book Day 2025
The entire school celebrated World Book Day today, with students dressing up as their favourite literary characters. Students were able to purchase some new books with a fair facilitated by Daunt Booksellers, who also gave the students some exciting book recommendations!
Romeo & Juliet by Medius and Transitus
This week, Trevor-Roberts hired a professional theatre for Medius and Transitus' production of Romeo & Juliet. The two forms have spent the term analysing the text, playing with Shakespeare's language and honing their acting skills.
Gymnastics with Sextus
This term in PE, Sextus have been using the apparatus in gymnastics lessons. We set a challenge to see if everyone could climb onto the apparatus at once while listening to Mama Mia. As you can see, it was quite a success!
Hedi Argent: Holocaust Survivor Q&A
This afternoon, Medius and Transitus had the privilege of attending an online talk with Hedi Argent. Hedi is a Jewish survivor of the holocaust who regularly holds talks with school children to share her life story and give an insight into the struggles of Jewish refugees during World War II.
Chinese New Year 2025
Gung Hey Fat Choy! Octavus treated the junior forms to a special assembly today. To celebrate Chinese New Year, Octavus had prepared a wonderful performance telling the origin story of the new year story.
Solar Panel Torches in Technology
Medius and Transitus have been hard at work creating their own solar panel torches in their Technology lessons. After being given a kit, a soldering iron and some goggles, the students enjoyed using their knowledge in such a practical way.
Christmas at Trevor-Roberts
Our wonderful cook Josephine treated our students to both a mathematical and gastronomical treat for Christmas. Students were invited to the dining room to estimate the length of Josephine's chocolate cake, before eating it at the Trevor-Roberts Christmas party.
Senior Department Christmas Plays
At the end of a busy term, the Senior Department forms took to the stage for their Christmas play performances. Quartus, Tertius, Secundus and Primus each performed their own show to an audience of family and friends.
Christmas with Coram Concert 2024
The Trevor-Roberts senior and chamber choirs performed at St. Andrew's Church as part of the Christmas with Coram concert. The concert is a festive event celebrating the fantastic work Coram do with children hosted by James O'Brien.
Junior Department Christmas Plays
The curtain is up and the lights are lit for two weeks of play performances at Trevor-Roberts. The Junior Department took to the stage, many for the first time, for an impressive array of performances for their friends and family.
Ukulele Group Performance
Showcasing a term of learning the ukulele, students from Sextus gathered for an ensemble ukulele performance. Led by their teacher, Luiz, the students performed a sing-a-long rendition of Do-Re-Mi, much to the joy of the junior department!
Black History Guest Speaker
Octavus had a very exciting morning as they were visited by Nadine Eweck. Nadine visited TR to teach Octavus about Black historical figures, inventors and their inventions impact on human history!
Halloween 2024
A spooky mist descended on Eton Avenue this morning as students arrived at Trevor-Roberts in their best Halloween attire. In assembly, ghosts, ghouls, witches and clowns gathered for a special Halloween performance by the Junior Choir.
Quartus Aerodynamics Experiment
In today's science lesson, Quartus flew paper aeroplanes in the playground. They have been learning all about aerodynamics, and used today's lesson to put their knowledge to the test.
Theatre Trip: Anna Hibiscus’ Song
Today, Septimus had a trip to the Unicorn Theatre to see Anna Hibiscus' Song. Adapted from a much loved book, Anna Hibiscus' Song was a wonderful show full of singing, dancing and puppets.
Theatre Trip: Dogs Don’t Do Ballet
Octavus had their first school trip at Trevor-Roberts. Today they visited the Little Angel theatre to see Dogs Don't Do Ballet, an adaptation of a popular children's book by Anna Kemp. 'It was so exciting
National Poetry Day 2024
Today, National Poetry Day was celebrated throughout Trevor-Roberts. Poems were read in assemblies in all forms from Octavus to Primus.
Football at St Christina’s
Over the past two weeks, students from Sextus, Quintus, Quartus and Tertius played football matches against St. Christina's. There were six games in total, with great displays of skill, competition and sportspersonship all round.
Mid-Autumn Festival 2024
This week Septimus were joined by two parents who taught the students all about the Mid-Autumn Festival, an important date in both the Chinese and Korean calendar.

Trevor-Roberts has been humming with musical activity in our final week of term, culminating this morning with performances from our senior forms of their summer plays. Quartus, Tertius, Medius, Transitus, Secundus and Primus all took to the stage.
Octavus & Septimus Summer Outing 2024
After hopping on a coach, both Octavus and Septimus had their summer outing today at Capel Manor. Despite the typically British weather, they spent the day exploring the flora and fauna of the grounds and learning all about the local wildlife.
Sextus & Quintus Summer Outing 2024
Today, both Sextus and Quintus spent the day by the River Thames in the sunshine for their summer outing. It was a day full of games and activities such as archery and rafting.
French Café 2024
Led by Medius and Transitus, students at Trevor-Roberts were today treated to a French Café in the playground. Students had the choice of delicious French snacks such as pain au chocolat and croissants in the sunshine.
Bush Craft Trip 2024
This weekend, Primus spent the weekend in the great outdoors for the annual Bush Craft trip. They sourced and cooked their own food, built their own shelter and slept under the stars.
Quintus visit to Southwark Cathedral
Today Quintus visited Southwark Cathedral for their Organ Extravaganza event. It was a busy afternoon learning all about the cathedral's organ and how it works.
Concert with The Basin Street Brawlers
Yesterday, the Trevor-Roberts choirs presented their spring concert at St. Mary's Church in Primrose Hill. They were joined by The Basin Street Brawlers, a five-piece band famous for playing the swinging songs of the 1920s and 30s.
Walk to School Day 2024
Today, students and staff of Trevor-Roberts School participated in Walk to School Day, the purpose of which was to acknowledge our day to day usage of transport that may adversely affect the environment.
Secundus Geography Field Trip
Secundus enjoyed a wonderful three days in North Yorkshire where they worked hard gathering data from the River Derwent and Flamborough Head coast for their CE Geography Fieldwork Project.
Medius and Transitus Sailing Trip
Last weekend, students in Medius and Transitus had their Isle of Wight sailing trip. It was a very busy few days of activities such as sailing, kayaking and rafting.
Septimus Tower of London trip
On Monday 22nd April, Septimus visited the Tower of London. Whilst there, they got to see everything they've been learning about in history lessons up close.
Bring a Bear day for charity
On Thursday 21st children, children in the Junior department brought their teddy bears to school in aid of Action Medical Research.
Medius and Transitus British Museum trip
On Tuesday 19th March, Medius and Transitus visited the British Museum on a journey through time to see the Rosetta stone, the first recorded remains of warfare and other such artefacts of historical significance.
ISA Under 11s Hockey Tournament
On Friday 15th March, pupils from Medius and Transitus were awarded Bronze medals at the ISA Under 11's Hockey tournament in Chigwell.

Cake Sale Fundraiser
On Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd November, a cake sale was held outside the Senior department. It was created raise awareness and funds towards specialist treatment for peripatetic music teacher Nick's baby, Robin.

On Tuesday 17th October, Patrick Craig- director of the Aurora Nova choir and Vicar Choral at St Paul's Cathedral visited TR to host a workshop with the Chamber choir.
Belsize Community Library trip, Junior Forms
On the 19th and 26th of September, Quintus and Sextus respectively visited Belsize Community Library to peruse the books on offer and learn about the significance of libraries to local communities.

Geography field trip to Yorkshire
During the weekend of May 19th to 22nd, my class and I went to the Cranedale Centre in Kirby Grindalythe to study rivers and coasts.
Walk to School day
On the 17th of May, students and staff of Trevor-Roberts School all participated in Walk to School Day, the purpose of which was to acknowledge our day to day usage of transport that may affect the environment negatively.
Coronation celebration
