This week, Quintus enjoyed an inspiring visit from Patrick, the founder of Picker Pals. Having heard about the students’ passion for litter picking, Patrick visited TR to hear their experiences and share the story behind how his project began.

The highlight was seeing Patrick’s cloak, crafted entirely from rubbish found on a Dublin beach, which sparked a meaningful discussion with Patrick and Ailbhe about the environmental impact of microplastics. It was a brilliant opportunity for the children to explore why “doing our bit” is so vital for protecting the planet.
