St Patrick’s day Irish dancing
On Friday 15th March, Quartus and Tertius treated their fellow pupils to a recital of Irish dance in celebration of St Patrick’s day.
‘It was lots of fun, remembering the footwork was a challenge! We began by standing in a line next to our partner and when the accordion began we danced together. My favourite technique was called ‘under the bridge’ where we hand to duck under another pair’s arms!’ – Amalia, Quartus
‘I didn’t know that Irish dancing is also called Celi dancing, and trying it has made me want to try it again sometime. Performing in front of everyone was nerve racking but very exciting.’ – Emma, Quartus
