Concert for Ukraine

Published On: May 25th, 2023

On the 25th May, Trevor-Roberts School held a fundraising concert to raise money for the Red Cross in Ukraine. The concert featured the Senior choir, Chamber choir and Junior choir as well as instrumental teachers accompanying the performing acts. Trevor-Roberts School was joined by Aurora Nova: the first all-female choir to sing in St. Paul’s Cathedral and renowned tenor, Ian Bostridge. The concert was finished by a powerful speech by Ukrainian student, Lisa.

A creative reflection on the Ukraine Concert

An organ played a wondrous cacophony of notes. Unbridled sunlight poured in from the great western window, bathing the choirs in a heavenly light. The audience watched with unwavering attention as glorious melodies all weaved together, burying silence behind it. Sound came from the altar in a hypnotic wave, surrounding you in a warm blanket. Somehow it ends and the onlookers erupt into raucous applause.
