Science
From the youngest form upwards, the children quickly develop an enjoyment of the three sciences.
The two well-equipped laboratories are exciting places for active learning. We ensure that practical experiments and investigations underpin all the science teaching at the school so that each pupil will be confident in their understanding of the concepts.
The Junior Department
The syllabus for junior science takes on a wide range of simple scientific concepts and encourages a thoughtful, investigative approach to the subject. Developing an early enthusiasm for science is a key aim at this stage.
The Senior Department
As the children develop their interest and knowledge, the subject is divided into three core studies: physics, chemistry and biology. Each is taught as a separate discipline at a different time in the academic year. Pupils are encouraged to expand their knowledge and hone their ability to analyse and evaluate.
