Geography field trip to Yorkshire
During the weekend of May 19th to 22nd, my class and I went to the Cranedale Centre in Kirby Grindalythe to study rivers and coasts. This trip will be part of our Common Entrance exams. Once we got back to school we immediately started a project in our observations and data readings.
We visited Selwicks Bay at Flamborough Head and the High Stacks where we saw tons of adorable seals. We studied the rivers at Helwath Beck, then Jugger Howe Beck and the River Derwent at Broxa. These sites were all in the North York Moors National Parks. At the Cranedale centre there was a lot to do after a full day of work. There was ping pong, table football and even a tennis court!
After our delicious evening meals, we often went on night walks and did a very fun bat quiz. The food was delicious and the tutors were very kind, especially Tom and Anousa. I had a blast and was very grateful to go there!
