Primus Trip to Nantes

Published On: September 15th, 2026

In early September, pupils travelled to La Roche-sur-Yon, near Nantes to immerse themselves fully in the French language through a range of activities.

Pupils first went to a local French secondary school called “Le Collège Sainte Marie”. During their visit to the school, they took part in music, maths and art lessons, as well as completing a series of bilingual quizzes. They also learned how to play “Le palet”, a traditional game from the Vendée region, where we were staying. Pupils enjoyed discovering the differences between school life in France and their own experience at TR!

The trip also included a visit to “Le Puy du Fou”, where pupils watched spectacular reenactments of gladiatorial contests, medieval battles and Viking expeditions. The experience culminated in an unforgettable night show, telling the story of France’s history through the ages.

Throughout the whole trip, pupils also had the opportunity to try a variety of delicious French specialities, such as galettes and crêpes! A très vite !
