Septimus had a lovely day at the Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missendan, learning all about how the author gained inspiration for his iconic characters. The children visited Dahl's local library and even had the chance to create their own characters using the sounds, words and costumes from Dahl's books!

Last Friday, Quartus and Tertius visited the Unicorn Theatre to watch the Royal Shakespeare Company production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which they have been studying in class.

This week, Quintus enjoyed an inspiring visit from Patrick, the founder of Picker Pals. Having heard about the students' passion for litter picking, Patrick visited TR to hear their experiences and share the story behind how his project began.

Head of Art Mrs Farmer entered paintings from Medius and Transitus students into the Christie's Young Art Exhibition. Two were selected by the exhibition judges from over 6,000 entries, with both receiving a ‘Commended’ award. The exhibition raises money for research into childhood cancers at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Our recent Sports and Classics Tour to Rome over the Easter holidays was an unforgettable experience for all involved. Students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of the ancient world, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the remarkably preserved ruins of Ostia.

Yesterday girls from Medius and Transitus visited Lord's Cricket Ground for an exciting day of sport. They played extremely well before having a tour of the pitch and the media centre.

After a busy term of working on Shakespeare's text, Medius and Transitus were proud to present their verion of Hamlet to a full audience at the Park Theatre. Complete with stage combat, live music, lights and sound, the children worked extremely hard on one of Shakespeare's most challenging plays. Bravo all!

Students from Medius, Transitus and Primus welcomed not just this week's warmer weather, but the blooming of daffodils they had planted as part of the Trevor-Roberts Gardening Club.

As part of the Picker Pals environmental programme, children in Quintus and their families have volunteered their time to go litter picking . Equipped with their litter picking pack, Benedict and Ted headed to Norfolk and completed a litter pick on the beach over half term.

After learning about flowering plants, Primus investigated the different adaptation of seeds, specifically wind dispersed seeds. Each group had to change an aspect of the seed (mass, wing length or wing width) and see how this affects the time spent in the air.
