Our recent Sports and Classics Tour to Rome over the Easter holidays was an unforgettable experience for all involved. Students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of the ancient world, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the remarkably preserved ruins of Ostia. A highlight for many was stepping back in time at gladiator school, where pupils gained a hands-on appreciation of Roman life.

Midway through the trip, students enjoyed a fantastic pizza-making workshop, learning traditional techniques before sitting down together to enjoy some truly delicious, freshly made pizza—an experience that quickly became a group favourite.

Alongside the cultural programme, the tour offered an exciting schedule of sporting activities. Students competed in a football festival hosted by Grifone Football Club, showcasing great teamwork and enthusiasm, and also took part in a competitive hockey match against a local side. A visit to the Stadio Olimpico further inspired our athletes, giving them a glimpse into the atmosphere of elite sport in Italy.

The tour struck a perfect balance between education, sport, and cultural experiences, allowing students to broaden their horizons, build friendships, and create lasting memories. It was a truly enriching experience that will stay with them for years to come.
