Quartus went to visit Canterbury Cathedral and we were dropped off at St Pancras station and got on a train.

When we arrived we walked for a bit and soon after we saw the Westgate Tower, which we walked through. When we came out the other end, we walked for a bit longer and finally arrived at Canterbury Cathedral.

First we went into a separate building where we all dressed up. I dressed up as a monk and there were also people who dressed up as archbishop, knight, pilgrim and there was a king and queen.

We went outside and walked to Canterbury Cathedral where we had a tour of the building. We saw the chapter house, which is where the monks would have meetings, and the main monk would sit on the throne at that time. Monks were the only people who could read and write, so they had to write the whole Bible out by hand. Next, we went to the crypt and we saw where Thomas Becket was buried. After that we saw some tombs. We saw the tombs of the Black Prince and Henry IV.

When we finally finished the tour, we went into the other building and did some activities. Then, we got back on the train back to school where we got picked up.
