HEADTEACHERS’ MESSAGE

STARTED IN THE EARLY 1950s by our late father, Christopher Trevor-Roberts, the school provides a happy and stimulating environment in which children can develop and learn. Specialist subject teaching from the first year onwards gives our children the opportunity to be inspired by people who are expert in and highly enthusiastic about their subject. Each child is treated as an individual, and the commitment and interest given to them by the staff allows them to reach their own true potential. The children learn to respect the community of which they are a part, their peers, and above all themselves.

It is our strong belief that much can be expected of a child if she or he is given self-confidence and a sense of personal worth and does not feel judged against the attainments of others.

When children move on at 11+ or 13+ to senior school, they do so with an academic rigour and a love of learning. This allows them to succeed in a larger and more impersonal academic environment – something that will support them throughout their lives. Our endeavour is to help children find the confidence to question, communicate and become active yet sympathetic members of their future society.

Ex vita crea somnium
Ex somnio veritatem

Trevor-Roberts encourages all its pupils to make of life a dream and of that dream a reality, as embodied in our school motto.
